Things To Do In Hammersmith And Fulham This Bank Holiday

The month of May is a bumper bank holiday fest, with an extra day off on Monday the 8 May in honour of the King’s Coronation. Here are some top things to do if you are in the Hammersmith and Fulham district of London.

Coronation Party, Lyric Square and King Street, Hammersmith, Saturday 6 May

On the day of the Coronation of King Charles III and the Queen Consort, a traffic-free party will take place at Lyric Square, W6. The historic occasion will be live-streamed on giant screens from 11am to 6pm. There will also be a pop up market with crafts, jewellery, artwork, and boutique fashion.

There will be live music throughout the day, plus a range of right royal street entertainers. Look out for Grumpy Queen Victoria, the King’s Cavalry, and the Incredibly Tall Tea Lady among the acts.

Party in the Parks

Bishops Park, Fulham, Sunday 7 May

The fun continues on Sunday with a family day at Bishops Park in Fulham. Throughout the day, there will be live entertainment with the Fulham Brass Band, dance workshops, and more. There will also be classic kid’s favourites such as face painting, bubbles, giant board games and funfair rides.

Besides all this, there’s a fantastic opportunity to learn about drone flying, martial arts, and take part in sports sessions run by Fulham Football Club.

Ravenscourt Park, Hammersmith, Sunday 7 May

There’s more brilliant fun to be had at Ravenscourt Park, with sessions run by QPR Football Club and martial Arts with Reflect CKD.

For the little ones, there will be crown making, face painting, pony rides, and games. There will also be live performances throughout the day, including a special appearance by the Ukrainian Choir.
